The Hunt was contacted by the Huntington Historical Society this past week.  They are having their annual holiday house tour and one of the houses being featured belonged to a former member of the Smithtown Hunt in the mid-30s!

Through contact with the Society, we were able to gather some pictures and a little history of the Behs, which I’m sure all of you will find very interesting.  The home is located in Old Chester Hills, which is located in Greenlawn.  We have attached a little write-up of the history of Old Chester Hills and their home, as well as some pictures of Mrs. Beh and actual fixture cards!  The Smithtown Hunt fixture cards are amazing because it shows a tea on November 20 at the Behs and also Ward Melville as the Honorary Secretary!
Please enjoy seeing these pictures and narrative and, as an extra bonus, Julie Rinaldini is working with the Historical Society to get us a private viewing of the home.

Please support the fine businesses that support our Hunt.
